| Aspirin is supplied in 81mg tablets: the dose is 162-324mg given orally. The medication is chewed and is absorbed rapidly through the oral mucosa. Contraindications include any active bleeding, known hypersensitivity to the drug or the inability to chew or swallow. Adverse reactions include heartburn, GI bleeding, nausea and vomiting.
